Privacy Policy

Searches. When you search, the place and date you entered reach our server so we can find events. Results are cached by approximate location — coordinates are rounded to about 0.7 of a mile, so the cache cannot identify a person or an address.

Your location, only if you ask. If you tap “use my location”, your browser asks your permission first, and we use the coordinates for that one search. We do not store them.

Ticket-link clicks. When you click through to a ticket seller we record the time, which listing it was, which seller, the page you came from, and your browser's user-agent string. This tells us which listings are useful. We do not log your IP address.

Events you submit. If you add a show, we store the details of that show. The form asks for nothing about you — no name, no email, no contact details — so a submission is not linked to a person.

• No accounts, so nothing to leak if we were breached
• We never sell or rent data, because we hold nothing worth selling

Ticket sellers pay us a commission when a reader buys through a link here. To credit that referral, their affiliate network — Impact.com — asks us to run a small script on our pages. It is the only third-party code on this site.

What it does: it records that a page was viewed, and it stores an identifier in your browser so that if you click through and buy a ticket, the seller knows the referral came from us. That identifier exists to answer one question — which site sent this visitor — and it is what makes the site pay for itself.

What it does not do: it is not an advertising tracker. We do not use it to build a profile of you, we do not sell what it collects, and it plays no part in which shows you are shown. Impact's own privacy policy governs the data it receives.

If you would rather it did not run, a tracking-protection browser such as Firefox or Brave, or any content blocker, will stop it. The site works normally without it — you will see exactly the same listings.

To find events we query event and ticketing services, and to read venues' own listings we use an automated text-extraction service. Those requests come from our server and carry no information about you.

When you click a ticket link we forward you to the ticket seller or the venue, sometimes through an affiliate network so the referral can be credited to us. From the moment you arrive, that company's own privacy policy applies, not ours.

If we add display advertising in future, ad providers may set their own cookies. This page will be updated before that happens, not after.

Some ticket links earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. We never hide, reorder or drop a listing because of what it pays: free and unticketed shows are shown exactly like any other, which is the whole point of the site. See our terms.

Because we hold no accounts and no personal identifiers, there is normally nothing of yours for us to find, export or delete. If you believe we hold something about you, or you want a submitted event removed, contact us and we will deal with it.

The site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes — particularly any new tracking — will be described plainly rather than buried.
